Kirk Erickson was born into the trucking industry, carrying forward a family legacy deeply rooted in transportation. His grandfather, Henry Erickson, founded Erickson Transportation in 1950 in Coon Valley, Wisconsin, alongside his sons, including Kirk’s father, John. Kirk grew up immersed in the world of trucking, spending his Saturdays at the office with his father and exploring the truck yard. During his teenage years, he took on hands-on roles, including cleaning tanker trucks from the inside. After earning his degree from the University of Tulsa, Kirk returned to Erickson Transportation, where he gained invaluable experience learning the inner workings of the trucking business. Following his father’s passing in 1999, Kirk charted his own path, leaving the family business to establish the tanker truck division at Prime, Inc., where he played a pivotal role in the company’s growth for over a decade. Over the last 25+ years, Kirk has used his expertise to help numerous transportation companies expand their tanker and food-grade operations, solidifying his reputation as a leader in the industry.
